The Devil Wears Prada’s 2011 album Dead Throne didn’t just hit the Top Ten on Billboard’s album chart…it also topped the publication’s Christian and Independent album charts! Which illustrates why this band stands out among the metalcore crowd…the savagery of its music belies its spiritual and intellectual concerns. Indeed, the theme of Dead Throne was anti-idolatry; as lyricist Mike Hranica puts it, “…making kings out of things that shouldn’t be kings.” Warning words to live by! And new producer Adam Dutkiewicz (Killswitch Engage) lends Dead Throne a more stripped-down sound that sharpens its attack. For its first U.S. reissue, we’ve remastered Dead Throne for vinyl.
