HIGH ON FIRE 'SURROUNDED BY THIEVES' LP

When High on Fire dropped their second album back in 2002, guitarist-vocalist Matt Pike was already a stoner-metal legend from his work with hypnotizing dragonauts Sleep. But Surrounded by Thieves sealed High on Fire’s reputation for relentless riffage and rolling-thunder drum work on unstoppable bangers like “Eyes & Teeth,” “Speedwolf” and “Hung, Drawn and Quartered.” Legions of red-eyed heshers and weird-beard motörheads genuflected at the altar of High on Fire and never looked back.
